Boys Tennis: Patriots' Doubles Lead Charge Against La Salle

By: Joe Cicchino - Sports Information Assistant

FORT WASHINGTON -- It had been almost a week since Germantown Academy's boys tennis team competed in a live match. The Patriots were supposed to take on The Lawrenceville School on May 1, but were stymied by the weather. Despite the long layoff, GA showed no rust when they hosted La Salle College High School on May 6.

Jason Wang '20 won his match in straight sets while the pairings of Kenny Gong '20 and Jason Chee '19, Matthew Sender '20 and Dylan Jeck '22 and Arjun Sriram '19 and Roderick Azizi '20 won their matches to give GA a 4-3 victory over the Explorers.

The Patriots face a quick turnaround as they host William Penn Charter in an Inter-Ac League clash on May 7 at 4:00 p.m. A win against the Quakers would give GA their second in league play.
