Boys Swimming & Diving: GA Takes Second at Inter-Ac Invitational

NEWTOWN SQUARE — Germantown Academy’s boys swimmers began championship season with a trip to Episcopal Academy for the Inter-Ac League Invitational, while the divers stayed in Fort Washington for the League Diving Championships. Behind three event victories, the Patriots finished in second place with 326 points.

The Patriots dominated 1-meter diving, sweeping the top two spots. Nash Salomon '28 claimed first with 303.55 points, Charlie McGeehan '28 was second with 180.00. Will Metta '28 took ninth with 96.95 points.

GA took the top two spots in the 200 IM, with Oliver Ritchey '27 going 1:54.07 and Shane Cowley '28 touching in 1:56.46. Daniel Dashko '28 was fourth with a time of 1:59.74. 

Nicholas Truong '28 won the 100 Backstroke in 52.71, edging out the second place swimmer from Malvern Prep by 0.22 seconds. 

GA returns to action on Thursday, Feb. 13 when they compete at Easterns Swimming & Diving Championships at Franklin & Marshall College.
