Boys Lacrosse: Balanced Attack Powers GA Past Springfield Township, 18–5

FORT WASHINGTON -- Germantown Academy made a statement on its home turf Wednesday afternoon, using a dominant first half to power past nearby rival Springfield Township, 18–5, on Jordan Field.

In a matchup between programs separated by just 3.5 miles, GA wasted little time taking control. The Patriots surged to a 13–3 halftime lead behind a balanced offensive effort and never looked back, securing their fourth win over the Spartans since 2018.

The attack unit spread the scoring across the roster, as 11 different players found the back of the net, the most goal scorers in a game for GA this season. Sebastian Paone '29 and Paul Rambo '26 each recorded five-point afternoons (2 goals, 3 assists), while Gabe Gass '28 orchestrated the offense with a goal and four assists. Chris Weber '27 led all scorers with a hat trick, and Landon Murray '28 added two goals as both players eclipsed the 30-goal mark for the season.

Murray and Landon Amorim '28 now share the team lead with 32 goals apiece, with Amorim having reached the milestone on May 1.

Additional contributions came from Drew Luviano '29 and Charlie Kelly '29, who each scored twice, while Ryan Maxwell '26, Miles Chapman '28, Ollie Pepper '26, and Sebastien Presson '29 each added a goal. Dom DeSimone '28 and Alex Goldberg '28 chipped in assists to round out the Patriots’ scoring effort.

Defensively, Spencer Beach '27 anchored the cage with eight saves, surpassing 220 saves on the season in the process.

With the win, Germantown Academy improves to 4–14 on the year and carries momentum into its regular-season finale. The Patriots will travel to face Inter-Ac League rival Penn Charter on Friday, May 8, looking to avenge a 8–6 loss from earlier in the season.
