FORT WASHINGTON -- For just the second time this season, the Germantown Academy boys basketball has strung together back-to-back wins. After recording a 64-59 result over Carver E&S on Jan. 12, the Patriots earned their first Inter-Ac League win on Jan. 15 against William Penn Charter.
Jordan Longino '21 paced GA with 20 points and hit three shots from three-point range. Brian Basile '19 hit two shots from deep and finished with 12, while Zach Anderson '20 scored 11 points on the night.
The teams played a tightly contested first half, but the Quakers went into the break leading by one point. That changed in the third when GA outscored Penn Charter 17-9. The Patriots pulled away in the final quarter, scoring 21 points to PC's 14.
With the win, GA is now 8-7 overall and 1-3 in league play. They host Episcopal Academy on Jan. 18 at 7:00 p.m.
