SOUDERTON -- Germantown Academy faced off against Landsdale Catholic on Dec. 9 in the championship game of the Jim Church Classic. After four quarters, it was the Crusaders that came out on top, winning 58-41.
The Patriots came out hot -- outscoring Landsdale 15-8 in the first quarter -- and had a 25-22 lead at the half. However, the second half would not be so kind to GA as they were outscored 36-16 over the final two quarters of play.
Colten Smith '19 led GA with 9 points while Diego Carrasco '19 finished with 8 points. Smith and Jordan Longino '21 were named to the All-Tournament Team.
GA is now 2-2 on the year and will return to the court on Dec. 13 when they take on St. Joseph's Preparatory School on the road.
