2004 Boys Water Polo Team Inducted into GA Athletic Hall of Fame

The Germantown Academy 2004 Boys Water Polo Team was inducted into the GA Athletic Hall of Fame on November 8, 2018.

  • The 2004 boys water polo team won the Eastern Prep School Championship
     
  • Went 8-0 in the League en route to the 2004 Inter-Ac League Championship
     
  • Won the Inter-Ac Invitational Tournament Championship
     
  • Alex Bond '05 was named All-American
     
  • Bond set the record for most goals in a season (141)
     
  • Finished the season with a 22-7 overall record
     
  • Only team in GA history to win the Easterns and Inter-Ac titles in the same year
     
  • Only team in GA history to go undefeated in Inter-Ac League contests
     
  • All five starters went on to play collegiate sports
     
  • Seven different players scored 20 or more goals during the season
     
  • First team in the Inter-Ac League to win Easterns in the modern era
     
  • First water polo team inducted into GA’s Hall of Fame
