- Club team, FC Bucks Vipers, had won state cups for six seasons and placed third nationally in 2008
- Won the 2009 U-18 US Youth Soccer national title
- Also a successful track athlete in high school doing sprints, hurdles and jumps
- Earned All-League and All-State honors for track
Post-Germantown Academy
- Hoy attended Princeton University and played soccer for the Tigers from 2009-2012
- Led the Ivy League in game-winning goals as a sophomore
- Started all 17 games and earned Ivy League Player of the Week twice as a junior
- Finished fourth in Princeton history in points (83) and fourth in goals (36)
- Earned her third career All-Ivy League honor while becoming the eighth Ivy League Player of the Year in the sport in Princeton history
- Helped lead the team to an Ivy League title and the second round of the NCAA tournament
- Hoy had 18 goals, the second-most in program history in a single season, while tying a program record with 17 regular-season goals as the Tigers finished 14-4-1 overall and 7-0-0 in the Ivy League
- Recognized as the Ivy League Player of the Year, an NSCAA second-team All-America and NSCAA first-team All-Mid-Atlantic region
Professional Career
- Hoy was selected by the Chicago Red Stars with the 25th overall pick in the 2013 National Women's Soccer League Draft.
- She received her first call up to the US U-23 National Camp in 2013
- Appeared in 78 games for Chicago, scoring 15 goals
- Loaned to Newcastle Jets (Australia) of the Australian Professional League in 106
- Appeared in 12 games for Jets, scoring five goals
- Traded to Sky Blue FC in 2018
- Made 31 appearances, scoring twice
- Hoy retired from soccer in February, 2020.
