Timothy Lewis '72
- Tim received eight Varsity Letters – 4 for baseball; 3 for basketball and 1 for soccer.
- He was three time Montgomery County All Star and two time 2nd team all Inter-Ac and one time first team All Area (suburban) for basketball. 1972 Inter-Ac League Champs – undefeated for baseball.
- Tim was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
- He was first team selection to the Philadelphia All Metro Team in baseball.
- At the University of South Carolina his baseball team was a NCAA Finalist in 1975. They came in second in the College World Series. While at University of South Carolina Tim was the NCAA career leader in games started (51) the record stood for at least 20 years and may still stand. He was the winning pitcher in the regional final game 1975 and College World Series game against Arizona State.
- He was a Gold Medallist in the 1975 World Games for Baseball.
- Tim led the USA national team in wins highlighted by a fifteen strikeout win over Mexico and win over runner-up Japan.
- He signed with the New York Yankees in 1976 and spent 5 ½ years in the New York Yankees system winning three League Championships and two Divisional Championships. He was among league leaders in ERA three times, strikeouts twice and appearances twice. Tim had 5 winning seasons with double figures in wins 4 times.
- Tim held the Carolina League record for 20 strikeouts vs. Winston Salem Red Sox. Tim’s overall career record was 48 wins and 36 losses and 16 saves.
