- Served as captain of the 2002 varsity basketball team
- Two-time All-Inter-Ac Basketball honoree
- Helped GA to three Inter-Ac Championships and three Inter-Ac undefeated seasons
- Holds school record for rebounding and ranks second all-time for number shots blocked
- Awarded the Gummey Memorial Prize for athletics and scholarship
- Awarded the Beard Memorial Prize
- Received the Ferguson Scholar-Athlete award by the William Markward Basketball Club of Philadelphia
- Lead bass player for the Germantown Academy orchestra and jazz band
- Selected to the Academy Club

- Awarded a full scholarship to Vanderbilt University
- Graduate of Vanderbilt University
- Member of the Vanderbilt basketball team for five years
- Two appearances in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen Tournament in 2004 and 2007
- Led his team to a 2004-05 National Invitational Tournament Quarterfinal Appearance
- Named to the South East Conference Academic Honor Roll in 2002-03, 2004-05 and 2006-07
- 2007 and 2008 played basketball in Europe for Germany and Sweden
- 2008 played for the Vermont Frost Heaves of the American Basketball Association
