After a two-game losing streak during at the beginning of January, Germantown Academy's ice hockey team has reeled off 6 straight wins to close out the regular season. With the Independence Hockey League playoffs set to begin next week, everything seems to be peaking at the right time for the Patriots.
If there were any doubts that Germantown Academy's girls swimming & diving team was the best in the Inter-Ac League, they were squashed on Jan. 31. When the undefeated Patriots took on Agnes Irwin School in the final league meet of the season, it was business as usual. GA won every event on the night en route to a 140-40 victory.
Germantown Academy's winter track & field teams traveled to Ursinus College and competed against over 60 schools on Jan. 20. There was no team scoring for the meet.
After the Fords took a 42-39 lead, Tyler Nolan '24 drilled a three-pointer -- his second of the day -- to kickstart a 13-6 run that closed out the game. GA won the contest, 52-48.
