Libraries

Germantown Academy libraries are places of research and discovery for all grades and divisions. Using resources independently and collaboratively, our Lower, Middle, and Upper School students engage in research as critical thinkers and problem solvers.

Our emphasis on source literacy cultivates our students' strength of character, and our state-of-the-art makerspace activities focus their intellectual curiosity. As educators, our goal is to develop in our students the habits and skills necessary to contribute and succeed as responsible and innovative citizens of the 21st century.

Our Library Mission: The cross-divisional GA Libraries curate a diverse collection of resources and foster inclusive libraries inspired by learning and curiosity. Our facilities, library programming, and lessons are designed to support individualized academic achievement, a love of reading, and the teaching of digital wellness, information literacy, and media literacy. Within all that we provide, we strive to support GA’s mission, civility pledge and uphold the honor code.
