Strength & Conditioning Fall Internship

Germantown Academy is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school located on a beautiful 126-acre campus in the Fort Washington suburbs near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The school serves more than 1,200 students in grades PK-12. Germantown Academy is now accepting applications for Fall 2024.  The goal of our program is to provide an encompassing view of strength and conditioning, including, assisting with weight room supervision, assisting with program design, coaching student-athletes, continual education on training principals and program designs, data reports and reviews, and developing your coaching identity.  

Qualifications:

  • In process of Kinesiology degree or related field 
  • Working towards receiving certifications in field (CSCS, SCCA) 

Compensation:

  • This is an unpaid internship. Intern must receive academic credit.

Internship Term:

  • September 1, 2024-December 20, 2024

Looking for intern who can display confidence, be open to feedback, create coaching identity, follows instructions, and communicates with staff. 

Interns will experience a variety of athletes and teams at Germantown Academy and develop their first network of coaches in the field. 

Candidates should have the desire to become a strength and conditioning coach at all levels; professional, college, and high school.  

The internship program at Germantown Academy is a comprehensive educational opportunity to allow aspiring coaches to get hands on coaching and to start to develop their coaching philosophy.
