Dear GA Families,
I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying a terrific year for your children and family at GA. I am honored to serve as the Chair of our Board of Trustees and to work with the extremely talented, dedicated group of alumni, current parents, and parents of alumni that constitutes our current Board. In my first year as Board Chair, I hope to provide you with more information about the structure of our Board and to share with you the major topics of discussion covered in our bimonthly trustee meetings.

At our first meeting in October, we devoted the bulk of our time to exploring possibilities for enhancing our Lower School facility. We also reviewed the extensive facility upgrades that occurred over the summer as part of our ongoing investment in our campus, discussed the details of our equity and inclusion action plan, reviewed current financial and admission data to plan for the future, and heard fantastic presentations from some of the students and faculty involved in our GA Experience Program (GAXP) in the Upper School last summer. This final piece was the perfect embodiment of our mission and a direct outgrowth of our work to provide students with extraordinary learning through engagement as per the school’s strategic vision.
Should you have any questions about our Board’s current work or scope of responsibility, please don’t hesitate to contact me or another trustee. In the meantime, I wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving.
