At Germantown Academy, our students learn by doing and our teachers teach by balancing their deep knowledge of every child with a passionate interest in subject matter and the development of interactive curriculum opportunities that further social/emotional, as well as intellectual, growth. 

We set our communal standards high for academic, artistic, and athletic achievement and the 8:1 student to teacher ratio we enjoy enables discourse of high quality to occur with great frequency.  Within this context of engagement and mutual trust, our students discover, refine, and use their gifts in the service of themselves and of others.  This journey of "aspiration-connection-performance" cycles within each division and within every activity, developing graduates who are confident, independent-minded, competent, and responsible young men and women, well prepared to become good citizens and productive leaders in a global society.
