The Office of Institutional Advancement at Germantown Academy leads three vital areas on behalf of the entire GA community – development, alumni and parent relations and communications. Located in the Goodman House, the OIA’s main goal each year is to support the school’s operating budget through the Annual Fund. The staff works hard at servicing the activities of a dynamic Parents' Committee, forging stronger bonds with a large GA alumni base and communicating the daily happenings on our beautiful campus to every GA constituent and guest through various written and electronic means. Audrey B. Schnur

Audrey Schnur is the Director of Institutional Advancement at Germantown Academy. Audrey oversees the operation of all areas of the office, and oversees the fundraising efforts for the Campus Master Plan. She serves as a part of the school’s senior administration team and is a liaison to the Board of Trustees. Audrey is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and spent 15 years in various roles within development at the University of Pennsylvania prior to coming to GA.

Martin G. Dean

Martin Dean is the Associate Director of Institutional Advancement at Germantown Academy. Martin’s main responsibilities are to oversee the Annual Fund, Stewardship, and Planned Giving programs. He is a graduate of The Catholic University of America and has served in development roles at both the University of South Florida and the University of Pennsylvania.

Heather N. Durkin

Heather Durkin is the Director of Alumni Relations at Germantown Academy. She works with alumni, faculty, students and parents of alumni to provide reunion programming, networking, and a variety of events throughout the year that keep alumni connected to their alma mater. She is the liaison to the Alumni Society Board, the Academy Club and the Parent of Alumni Association, coordinating with all three to improve the relationship between GA and its alumni body. Heather graduated from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado where she earned her BA in Communications. Prior to GA, she was an associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, a management consulting firm, where she managed public relations accounts for government and corporate clients.

Julie Moore

Julie Moore joined the Office of Institutional Advancement in 2005. Her main administrative duties are to handle correspondence and scheduling for the Director of Institutional Advancement and the Director of Alumni Relations. She also serves as the Goodman House manager. Julie came to GA from Hickory Veterinary Hospital.  She is a long-time resident of the Fort Washington area.

Melissa Fikioris

Melissa Fikioris is the Associate Director of Alumni Relations. Her main responsibilities include managing the Class Agent and Reunion Programs, serving as the liason to the Women's Networking Group, and planning and executing events such as Regional Gatherings, Alumni Family Field Day, the GA Golf Classic and GA-PC Weekend. Prior to coming to GA, she spent 9 years serving in alumni relations/events roles at the Wharton School and Perelman School of Medicine, both of the University of Pennsylvania.  Melissa received her BA from Roanoke College in Salem, VA.

Kelli Toland

Kellianne (Kelli) Toland is GA's Director of Annual Giving. She is responsible for the planning and implementation of a comprehensive Annual Giving Program for the school. She works closely with other Institutional Advancement staff members to create and implement appropriate cultivation/solicitation strategies, with the main goal of servicing the faculty and students through the Annual Fund. Kelli came to GA from the University of Pennsylvania where she served the Athletic Department as a Major Gift Officer. Prior to that, she spent time as a fundraiser and special events coordinator at Temple Athletics. Kelli is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.

Celeste Tarbox

Celeste Tarbox is a member of the Institutional Advancement team in the execution of the Annual Giving program, with specific focus on managing fundraising volunteers. Celeste came from the Advancement Office at Liberty Lutheran, a social ministry organization, in Ambler, PA. Prior to that, she taught English in a French high school in Nantes, France. Celeste is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Art History.


Carolyn Moatz

Carolyn Moatz is the Data Coordinator for the Office of Institutional Advancement. She is responsible for maintaining the database of alumni, parents, students, and friends and gift processing. Carolyn is a graduate of Gettysburg College and came to GA from Ursinus College’s Annual Fund Office.

Carla Zighelboim

Carla Zighelboim joined the Germantown Academy Institutional Advancement Team in 2005 after 10 years at the University of Pennsylvania. At GA, Carla oversees all external communications for the school including the internet, parent and public relations and the production of all marketing and development materials. She is the liaison to the Parents' Committee and assists with communication and events for that active group. She handles media requests, media placement and social media for the school as well. Carla earned her BA in Communications with a minor in Public Relations from Michigan State University.

Dina R. Katz

Dina Katz is responsible for many of GA’s creative promotional efforts which range in the developing of all materials for GA-PC Day, Annual Fund, The Belfry Club, Alumni Relations, and Admission.  Dina has a close relationship with students and faculty alike and loves capturing images of them to be used on the website, catalogs, the Patriot, and in emails/mailers to be sent across the country to GA Alumni.  She has worked in marketing for over 20 years, most recently as Director of Marketing for Deb Shops, Inc. Dina is a graduate from Drexel University with a BS in Business Administration–Marketing.

Thomas McGlinchey

Tom McGlinchey is the Assistant Director of Communications at Germantown Academy. Tom's main responsibilities are to support GA's communication efforts, including: the creation of e-newsletters, social media campaigns, media relations and public relations. Tom also writes and takes photos for Today at GA, The Patriot magazine and other GA related publications. Tom also supports the efforts of GA's Sports Department. Prior to GA, Tom worked as a reporter for Montgomery Media (Journal Register Company) where he covered local sports. Tom is a graduate of Temple University with a BA in Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Mass Media.
