Germantown Academy Elementary, Middle, High School in Fort Washington, PA

Building on Tradition (2011) – In conjunction with, and in celebration of, our school’s 250th year the entire GA community rallied in support of key campus initiatives that resulted in the creation The Preserve (wet meadow and arboretum), New Alter Middle School and McNeil Upper School, renovations to Administration Building and Dining Hall, fully restructured outdoor athletic field and Carey Stadium complex, and an upgraded Lower School playground.

Fulfilling the Promise (2016) -In recognition of the culmination of 26 years as Head of School, James W. Connor 1760 ended his tenure by fulfilling a few capital promises to assure that GA’s students are engaged in a full school day that does not end at 3pm featuring a new annex to the Field House (including Fenerty and Retif Basketball Courts), multi-purpose next-turf fields which will host Middle School baseball games and practice in the spring and girls soccer competitions in the fall, and the Beard Center for Innovation highlighted by a full maker space and innovation laboratory.
