The Annual Fund consists of unrestricted contributions from members across the community (alumni, parents, faculty and friends) that support GA in meeting our mission and balancing the operating budget. Annual Fund gifts, in all amounts, combine to make an immediate impact-providing faculty and student with necessary curricular resources while offering extra-curricular opportunities including athletics, arts, student support services and classroom technology.
Why Should I Give?
Equips 1145 students and 161 faculty with daily learning and teaching resources
Provides opportunities for students to follow their individual paths and discover their passions
Continues the 258 year tradition of community stewardship that sustains the school’s advancement
Balances the annual budget and fills the gap between tuition and the actual cost per student
Why I Give
I'll forever be grateful for the legions of teachers who invested themselves in me and allowed me to see a reflection of who I was through their belief in me --people like Ruth Aden, Ralph Allen, and Ginny Day-- the best way I know to pay that gift forward is to continue to support the school in the hopes that it will be as life-affirming for generations of other students. ~Julie Bierman '86
Your Gift in Action
PreK to 4th graders participated in a Design Thinking activity for Earth Day 2017. Students used recycled materials to make prototypes that utilized sunlight and water to create energy. This hands on experience allowed students to practice their problem-solving skills in creative and fun ways. Annual Fund contributions from across our school community make unique learning opportunities like Design Days possible. This is YOUR GIFT IN ACTION!
For 29 consecutive years, Harriet Smith ‘73 has participated in the Annual Fund, making her one of the longest tenured donors to our school. Today we salute Harriet, and all those Patriots who renew their support annually, for their loyalty, generosity and continued commitment to Germantown Academy.
All gifts to Germantown Academy are tax-deductible. If you have any questions or experience any problems with the online giving form, please contact the Office of Institutional Advancement at 267-405-7314.
