“When it comes to the Class of 2013 and the National Merit Scholarship Program, our cup truly overfloweth,” said Assistant Head of School/Head of Upper School Rich Schellhas. “In addition to our nine semifinalists, I am delighted to recognize the 11 students whose scores on the PSAT earned them the Commended Student designation. While GA will always prize classroom learning over standardized tests, we admire our students’ ability to rise consistently to the task of bringing their best selves to every academic opportunity. The Commended Student status is accompanied by an easily recognizable cache around the country of which these scholars can forever be proud. I congratulate them and all of our students for the many hours spent preparing for the SAT in addition to the already impressive work they achieve in school every day.”
