Tailgate 250

The Germantown Academy community came out in droves, many in their galoshes and rain coats, to participate in all that Tailgate 250 and the 123rd GA-PC Weekend had to offer. This year's events included everything from an Adult 5K run along GA’s cross country trail, to art exhibits with pieces by alumni and students, to a tailgate-style lunch and Competition Cup-winning performances by the Patriots.

Hurricane Ida came blowing through the Fort Washington area just before the big weekend forcing the Tailgate 250 Committee to cancel Friday’s bonfire and pep rally. Ida couldn’t dampen anyone’s spirits or enthusiasm on Saturday, though, as students, faculty, alumni, parents, and friends waved their rally towels and shook their pom-poms to cheer on the Patriots. Well over 1,200 people enjoyed the day, mud, puddles and all!

Germantown Academy 250th Chair Sue McGinnis '78 and Tailgate 250 Committee Chair Judi Goodman 1760, along with the Office of Institutional Advancement, would like to thank everyone who came out to support the Tailgate 250 Weekend events.
