Freddie Davis
Former GA French teacher  Fernande "Freddie" Davis has shared the compelling story of her role in the Belgium underground with a generation of GA students.  She still returns regularly to visit with her GA family and to speak with students in French and history classes about having the courage of their convictions.  Her personal narrative is now available to a wider audience - she recently published Girl in the Belgium Resistance:  A Wakeful Eye in the Underground, which is available in the GA bookstore.

Emily Morris interviewed Mrs. Davis for The Ambler Gazette in July - that article is posted

GA's Kurt Wetzel '88 Photographs Olympic Trials for MSNBC
Six GA swimmers and Coaches Shouldberg and Lear were not the only ones chasing their dreams this summer.  Kurt Wetzel '88 was tapped by MSNBC to cover both the gymnastic and swimming US Olympic Trials.  You may know him as a 3rd grade teacher and coach, but this gig was a piece of heaven for this avid shutterbug!  Kurt shared access with the GA community by posting photos and commentary each night.  See his coverage of the Olympic Trials in Omaha HERE.
