Girls participating in Softball Camp receive individual skills
instruction, learn about position responsibilities, and participate in
position drills and skills contests with awards and prizes. The program
also includes instructional videos and daily games. Campers are
required to bring their own glove; cleats are suggested but not
required. This camp includes daily recreational swimming and options for lunch. REGISTER.

Citrone, parent of GA alumnus John Citrone Jr. ’10, has been a
longtime coach in southeastern Pennsylvania and is heavily involved in
youth sports. For the last four years, he has coached an 18-and-under ‘A
League’ travel tournament team that advanced to two national
In addition to coaching softball, Citrone has coached football for 33
years, including seven seasons at GA under former
varsity coaches Mike Turner ‘91 and Luke Harris ’92. His football
coaching experience spans from pee-wee teams to semi-pro teams.
Citrone also has 15 years of baseball coaching experience, from
T-ball through Pony Major with two tournaments teams going to
Cooperstown Dreams Park, a national invitational youth baseball
tournament, and six years resulting in championship teams.
Citrone was also the President of the 21 Ward Baseball
Organization for six years and Commissioner of the Little League
Organization for two years. He was inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports
Hall of Fame for community service and coaching.
Citrone will be joined by Sherri Retif, who will serve as the varsity
assistant coach. Coach Retif is also the head coach of GA’s varsity
girls’ basketball program and a Middle School physical education
