ENTRY INFORMATION

Coaches may enter a swimmer in as many events as they like, (please pay your entry fee based on the number of entries prior to scratches.) however upon completion and posting of the psych sheets the coach and swimmer must choose a maximum of two (2) individual events.

Each athlete's participation at Easterns must comply with NFHS rules of a maximum of four total events with a maximum of two individual events.

Relay Entries:

  • Teams may enter one "A" and "B" relay for each of the relay events. "B" relays are non scoring and will not advance to finals. Mark "B" relays as exhibition in your Team Manager entry. Athlete names do not have to be completed with your entries. A team's entire roster is eligible for relays within the entry limits stated above.
  • Coaches will declare their relays by filling out an Easterns 2012 Relay card prior to the start of competition on the day of that relay event and handing it in to the Computer Table. The order that the athletes are swimming shall be listed on the card. Separate cards are to be submitted for preliminaries and finals. The athletes and the order of swim do not have to be the same for preliminaries and finals. An event is counted against an athlete's total swims if they participate in the relay either in preliminaries or finals. 
  • Non scoring "B" relays may be entered. Relay athletes for "B" relays will be declared as above. Participation in a "B" relay counts as an event for a swimmer. "B" relays will not be eligible for participation in Bonus, Consolation or Finals heat participation.
  • Participation in a "B" relay in preliminaries and an "A" relay at finals, in the same event,  counts as one event for the athlete.

A team may enter as many swimmers in an event as they wish however the most any one team can have participating in the evening top 18 is four (4) individuals per event. There will be no scratching for the evening top 18 swimming.

Diving competitors must fill out two (2) score sheets listing eleven (11) dives. Coaches are strongly reminded that each of your divers should be able to competently perform the eleven (11) dives listed.

The preferred method of entry submission is electronically , with the use of Hy-Tek Team Manager or Team Manager Lite. Entries are to be e-mailed to bjmcmillin@verizon.net .

The entry fee for each individual event entered is $6.00. Each relay team entry is $30.00 per team entered. Additionally, there is a $5.00/athlete surcharge to cover the cost of Swimming World TV. 

Fees are calculated on entries prior to scratches. 

A Meet Entry Summary Form must accompany entry fee payment.

Note: Changes do not mean "new times", only corrections to original submission due to inputting errors by GA.

Eligibility

The Entry Fees Form must bear certification of each athlete’s eligibility for participation. Each athlete must be a student in good standing at their school and meet the school’s rules for athletic eligibility. All competitors must be amateurs. Each entry form must bear the coach of the school signature verifying approval of the athletes entered and that their times have been posted in competition. Each entry must bear the signature of the athletic director and the headmaster or principal of the school verifying the eligibility of the athletes entered. Any entry form without these signatures will not be accepted.

USA SWIMMING OBSERVATION

Easterns has been granted Observed Status. Times for USA Swimming registered athletes will be uploaded into the National Times Database (SWIMS). In order for an athlete's times to be uploaded, coaches are to provide a roster of  USA Swimming registered Athletes and their birth dates. It will aid the process if correct USA Swimming ID numbers are included in your database.

Complete a Relay Request for Observation Form for all relays that you wish to have times uploaded. All members of the relay must be members of the same USA Swimming Team. Please indicate if you want the lead-off split uploaded.
