Athletic Teams: GA supports 83 interscholastic teams overall

Competition Schedule: Varsity and junior varsity teams play, on average, between 10-28 games per season. Middle School and third level teams play between 10-16 games per season

Student Participation: An average of  80% of the Middle School and Upper School student body competes on interscholastic athletic teams

Accolades

  • GA has captured 87 Inter-Ac League Championships during the last 10 years
  • Several GA athletic teams have been recognized with national rankings, including the 2008-09 girls basketball team and the 2009 boys soccer team
  • The girls soccer program won 18-straight Inter-Ac championships (1990-2008)
  • In 2008-09, the girls basketball team went 31-0, claiming the Pennsylvania State Independent School championship and the program’s 11th-straight Inter-Ac title
  • In 2009-10, boys soccer, girls basketball, boys swimming, girls swimming and wrestling won Inter-Ac League Championships, while ice hockey won the Pennsylvania Independence School Championship and baseball won the Pennsylvania Independent School League Championship
  • In 2010-2011, boys cross country, girls basketball, wrestling, girls swimming and boys swimming won Inter-Ac League Championships, while ice hockey won the Pennsylvania Independent School League Championship.
  • The girls swimming program has won 21 consecutive Inter-Ac championships since its inception as a league sport in 1990.
