The Germantown Academy Aquatic Club (GAAC) was founded in 1969 to provide student-athletes of all ages the opportunity to train for competitive swimming. In 1985, GAAC merged with Team Foxcatcher and competed in USS meets as Foxcatcher until September 2000. Now all swimmers compete as GAAC.
We provide training seven days a week at Germantown Academy. Student-athletes have the opportunity to train two hours in the morning before school begins and from 2-9pm in the evening - Monday through Friday. Six hours are available on Saturdays and two hours on Sundays. We rent numerous pools in the area for additional training.
GAAC has over 200 student-athletes throughout the year involved in the program. We have no tryouts - all ages and abilities are welcome to participate and pursue their dreams. Many of our swimmers have competed on the national and international level.
