Yale Popowich, M.D. ’82 was elected to serve as the President of the Oregon Society of Plastic Surgeons for a two year term.

1990s

Michael Wiley '90, owner of Blue Bell staffing company, McGrath Systems, was quoted and pictured in a September 2nd Philadelphia Inquirer article about current trends in employment.  "We have placed over 800 employees in the past year," Wiley was quoted as saying.

 
Elizabeth Serrill Chaytors’95 and Ryan Chaytors welcomed Dylan Edward Chaytors into the world on May 17. Dylan joins his brother, James.

 
Evelyn Paige Joshi, daughter of Vikram Joshi ’95 and his wife, Jessica, was born on July 21.

Meghan McVeigh ’97 married Joshua Maciolek on July 23, 2011 at North Hills Country Club in Glenside, PA.
 
Father Peter McVeigh 1760 gave Meghan away, while Denise Diorio McVeigh ’94 was Meghan’s Matron of Honor and brothers Ian ‘92 and Brendan ’01 acted as groomsmen. Jake and Anna McVeigh (GA Day Care), Meghan’s niece and nephew, were also in the wedding party!

Eddie Serrill ’98 is engaged to marry Brittania Boey on June 4, 2012.  The couple will have events in both San Francisco and Singapore.

2000s

Jim Slattery '00, a UCA and NCA Champion, spent over a month in the Philippines leading cheerleading camps and working with the National Cheerleading Championship (NCC), a nationwide cheerleading organization in the Philipines. Read his story HERE. Jim currently lives in Hawaii where he is a high school teacher and a cheerleading coach.

 
Emily Rozak ’00 is engaged to marry Jonathan Mills on April 14, 2012.

Joanna Mack ‘01 and Dan Stahl, Lower School 5^th Grade Teaching Assistant, are expecting their first child in January, 2012.

 
Jessica Chadwin ’03 married Adam Lamay on May 29, 2011.  Carrying on a family tradition, Jess wore Adidas "shell top" sneakers along with brother, Jamie '97, and dad, Steve.

 
Harry Mirabile ’04 and his bride, Constantina, were married on May 21. Harry graduated from Ave Marie School of Law just six days prior!

 
Katie Allenson ’05 is engaged to marry Matt Spear in May, 2012.

 
Kristie Haynie ’06 married John Gilbert on August 13, 2011.  Kristie's sister, Elise '02, was her Maid of Honor and sisters Mary '08, Caroline '13 were bridesmaids, while brother Alex '04 was a groomsman.  Fellow alumnus, and proud Father of the Bride, Ted Haynie 1760, was beaming according to several of the many GA alumni in attendance.

 
Emily Solis-Cohen ’06 was awarded Georgetown University’s Healy Scholarship to Study at St. Cross College. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from Oxford University in July.  Emily is now also teaching a history course in GA's Upper School.

Claire Crippen '07, having completed her bachelor's degree in Psychology at University of Virginia, is back at GA.  Over the summer, she accepted an offer to be GA's Assistant Director of Aquatics under her former coach and fellow alumnus Dick Shoulberg 1760.
