Skip Clayton, a member of the GA class of 1958 at one time, invites his former classmates and other GA alumni who attended St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Germantown to join in the 200th anniversary celebration dinner on October 18, 2011. St. Luke’s, one of the oldest in the Episcopal Diocese of Philadelphia, has been celebrating their 200th anniversary throughout this year.

Martha Zabriskie Stachitas '72 (left) often sees Caren Zinman Seidle '77 at Wake Forest University football games. Martha's youngest son Ted is a quarterback for the Demon Deacons. Caren's husband Chip Seidle, is a devoted WFU alumnus.

Congratulations to Deb Huntzinger Herting ’73 who hosted her celebratory book unveiling on May 22nd at the Goodman House on GA’s campus. The book, “The Power of Interpersonal Skills in Project Management” was published this spring.

Sarah Lawson ’91 and Steve Black, class of ’94 through his junior year, are excited to announce their engagement. They are planning for a November 5, 2011 wedding date.

Ashley Wetherill Brinton ’94 and her husband, Kirk Brinton are the proud parents of their first child, a daughter.  Brooke Wetherill Brinton was born on June 3, 2011.

Maureen Hendrie Stanton '94 writes, "I'm thrilled to announce the birth of my daughter, Lauren Margaret Stanton, born on March 3, 2011. Her big brother, Mark, is so excited!"

Julie Shaner Young '97 was recently named Villanova Women's Head Lacrosse Coach.

Maurene Cooper '99, co-founded Azimuth Projects (azimuthchicago.com), an art initiative to bring together emerging artists and young professionals in Chicago. She invites her fellow alumni to an art opening reception/happy hour on Thursday, July 14th. 

2000s

Seth Gershenson '00 recently earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Michigan State University. He will be joining the faculty of American University's School of Public Affairs this fall.

Melena Tsoflias '03 and her husband, Andrew Ward from Boxford, MA, were married on June 5, 2011 at the Cairnwood Estate. After their wedding, they traveled to Marbella and Barcelona, Spain. Upon their return, Melena returned to her roots at GA and is now working in the Admission Office!

Emily Solis-Cohen '06 will be joining the GA History Department as an adjunct faculty member for the Fall Semester of 2011 to offer a senior elective on Modern Middle East History. After graduating from GA, Emily went on to study International Politics and Security Studies at Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. During her time at Georgetown she spent a semester living and studying in Egypt at the American University in Cairo. Upon graduation, she was awarded Georgetown's Healy Scholarship to complete her Master’s degree in Modern Middle Eastern Studies at Oxford University in England. She also has been working as an Arabic translator and tutor for the past year.

Ally Fried '09, a sophomore at Hamilton College, was named to the Northeastern Small Colleges Athletics Conference All-Academic team for the sport of women’s crew.

Graham Kaltman ’09 and a couple of friends opened, singing three songs, for Lil Jon at a concert after the 2011 "War on the Shore" at Washington College. He thanks Michael Kemp for sparking his interest in singing.
