Tuition and Fees

Tuition is all-inclusive of activity and technology fees for all students. It is payable either in full or by enrolling in a 10-month online payment plan. Tuition for the coming year is set by GA’s Board of Trustees and announced in late January.

Uniforms, Books, Supplies and Meals

Students are billed monthly for individual charges they incur, such as school supplies, snacks and spirit wear from the School Store, school dance admission, student fundraisers, and Lower School after school programs.

A uniform is required for all Lower School students. A GA GEAR dress code is in effect for all Middle and Upper School students. Parents may visit our Consignment Shop, run by the Parents' Committee, for pre-owned Lower School uniforms and GA GEAR. See more about the dress code - CLICK HERE.

Dining Services are run by Meriwether-Godsey. Each student has a dining account with this company, which operates on a declining balance system. Students in grades 3 through 12 purchase food in the Dining Room and the total is automatically deducted from their individual balance. Students in grades PreK, K, 1 and 2 can order lunch and have it delivered to their dining area in the Lower School. CLICK HERE to read more about this service.

Germantown Academy partners with Follett to serve the textbook needs of students in Middle and Upper School. The representatives at Follett specialize in partnering with independent schools and are committed to being a cost conscious resource for all of our students' textbook needs. The book lists are posted each July for Middle and Upper School students through Follett and parents are responsible for purchasing the required materials before the first day of classes in September. Representatives from Follett come to campus every June for a book buyback where students can receive money from books they no longer need. Lower School students receive their materials from their teachers throughout the school year.

Curriculum-Related Activities

There are numerous opportunities for off-campus activities. Many students visit museums, historical sites, and sometimes, other countries, to augment their understanding of topics covered in their daily curriculum. Student clubs and organizations offer trips that may require additional expense. Costs vary according to the activity.
