The Admission Process

A complete admission file includes the following:

Application

The application may be submitted online or by mail.  Once we receive the completed application, we will notify you by email or Receipt Postcard. Please call the Admission Office at 267-405-7070 with any questions. Only receipt of the completed application (online or printed) will begin the admission process.  This process then requires:

interview and visit

The Admission Office will contact you to schedule the necessary appointments after receipt of the completed application. The interview includes a student- or parent- guided tour of the school and the opportunity to meet with an Admission Director. The visit allows the applicant to spend time in our school’s setting. We may be unable to schedule some applicants prior to the first round of admission decisions, depending on the volume of applicants and timing.

Testing

Schedule testing for the appropriate division. Applicants to PK through 5th grades must complete psycho-educational testing. Applicants to 6th through 11th grades must take either the SSAT or the ISEE. Detailed information can be found in the Division Sheets located under Application Submission.

Transcripts

Please submit the School Records Release Form to your child’s current school. Schools should forward to our Admission Office official transcripts including current grades, past school reports, and all testing scores. Fall semester grades must be included.

Teacher Recommendation

Please sign the Teacher Recommendation Form and give to your child’s current academic teacher as specified on the appropriate Division Sheet. The Recommendation is confidential and must be sent directly from the teacher to our Admission Office after December 1. Recommendations received before December 1, or those not completed by the current academic teacher, will not be accepted for the applicant’s file.
