Applying to College

Because of the global village we all inhabit, today’s young men and women have an abundance of options when considering their post-secondary education.  Decision-making becomes a skill students hone as they compile an initial list of colleges to visit and then ultimately to which they will apply.  The application process, then, requires students to analyze their choices and articulate to college admission representatives how they are good matches for certain colleges and vice versa.

The college counseling team at GA provides assistance through all phases of this process, from critiquing essays to prepping students for interviews to helping them make that final decision.  This section of the website provides resources to help both students and parents increase their understanding of the fundamental components of a college application.  A student’s college counselor will then guide the student to craft an application to accentuate his or her strengths and talents.
