Power Library Direct
(to research from GA)
These resources are available through public libraries and participating school libraries (GA is a member), and from home. The computers at GA are configured to go directly to the search interface without entering a password.
To utilize these databases from home you must have a current library card from a Pennsylvania public library. Select your local library or county library interface from the list at right. To access the resources you will need to enter the 14-digit barcode number which appears on your valid library card. Easy-to-use instructions are on the library pages linked from column at right.
Power Library is provided by the State of Pennsylvania, offering access to an amazing array of resources grouped together in one convenient interface. You now have access to magazine and newspaper articles, critical commentary, peer-reviewed articles, images, multimedia and primary source documents simply by logging in. There is a remarkable breadth and depth of developmentally appropriate materials available to meet the information needs of everyone from Lower School students to adult learners. It would cost over $20,000 for GA to purchase these resources if they were not available through the state. We encourage our students to take advantage of this opportunity.
